Embrace your Inside Nature
An invitation through education.
An invitation through education.
Who we teach:
Founded in 2013, Inside Nature Education is a team of Certified Sexual Health Educators who teach grades K-12 in accordance with the BC Physical and Health Education curriculum guidelines.
What we teach:
The content of the sexual health education curriculum reflects provincial learning outcomes, is age and developmentally appropriate, respects the diversity of individuals and their families, and reflects current and accurate knowledge. The topic is introduced as 'Body Science' for elementary aged students.
The goal of comprehensive sexual health education is for all students to gain the skills and knowledge required to make healthy decisions, maintain healthy bodies, healthy relationships, and a healthy body image, and for them to know what to do in unsafe situations.
Inside Nature strives to answer every question throughout class, as well as provide an anonymous question box that allows students to seek answers to more sensitive issues. Resources are offered for continued learning.
Why we teach:
Inside Nature Education aims to guide each student to consider their personal values with the hope of making healthy choices in their lives. It is strongly encouraged that these conversations continue at home and with trusted adults in the students' lives. When children are empowered with information about their bodies it creates an opportunity for them to speak more openly about their questions and concerns with adults they trust.
Where we teach:
Inside Nature works with independent and public schools in the Metro Vancouver area and offers satellite programming via Zoom to schools outside of this region.
Private parent/child group workshops are also offered upon request.
